Polymer systems, microsensors, and biologization
Biologization is the umbrella term for the increasing integration of principles from nature into modern fields of research and technology. This transformative process is driven largely by the materials sciences. The fields of application for innovative biotechnology are diverse and wide-ranging. Particularly important areas include medical technology, bio-based processes and implants, orthopedics, diagnostics, bio-based sensors or sensors integrated into structures, and modified surfaces for bio-driven processes. Innovative materials science and technical processes are linked with biological applications and digitalization.
Behind this term lies not only an innovative research cluster, but also “Innovation made in Clausthal!”
