Career history

Studied industrial engineering and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree from Bahir Dar University in 2007, Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Materials Science from Hawassa University in 2012 and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Miskolc in 2023.

He served as director of the office of research, publications, and public relations (2016–2018) and as director of the science and technology park (2025) at the Ethiopian Institute of Technology – Mekelle (EiT-M). In addition, he has professional experience in industry as a maintenance planning engineer and as a trainee.

Since 2016, he has been the founder, managing director, and owner of Alula Business and Investment Consult, a provider of comprehensive investment and consulting services.

Since June 2025, he has served as an associate professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Mekelle University.

Postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Technical Chemistry at Clausthal University of Technology from October 2025 to October 2026.

Since October 2026, postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Polymer Materials and Plastics Technology at Clausthal University of Technology
